Billy's Lifeline charity have been a lifesaver for me. They have gone above and beyond and often in their own time. When my granddaughter took her own life in 2020 there was no one to turn to as the kind of help I've received from Billy's just wasn't available anywhere. I became very ill recently, and Billy's were just there for me. I've been involved with other charities (not suicide support) but they don't give you the practical support you receive from Billy's. I really can't thank them enough. I just didn't know where I could get help for my son (my granddaughter’s father) - there were larger charities available but only offered telephone support. Billy's is hands on. I've attended their support group sessions in which you get to meet other people who have gone through the same thing making you feel less isolated. I believe that there is nothing like this group nationwide. My son lives in another part of the country and couldn't find any support whatsoever. I can't describe how much we need this charity. Sadly, suicide of young people is rising. This support is needed now more than ever.
