Brian Gill – Fundraiser Walk from Birmingham to Norton

We are delighted and so very grateful that Brian Gill has chosen to fundraise for Billy’s Lifeline and Teesside Mind by walking from Birmingham to Norton - a journey that will take 5 to 6 days on foot.

Brian is no stranger to feeling alone and in the past suffered in silence until he hit rock bottom and his life changed forever.  Brian reached out for support and has since worked very hard to build a new life.

In his own words, Brian tells us why he is taking on this challenge:

‘I’m doing this walk not for me, but for the people still suffering in silence.

For those who feel like they can’t ask for help.

For those who believe the world would be better without them.

Mental health struggles are invisible, but their impact is real.

Every day, people are fighting battles we can’t see.

Every day, lives are lost because of stigma, shame, and silence.

If this walk can save even one life or help just one person open up and seek support, then every step will be worth it.’
