Strengthening Postvention Support in South Tyneside: A Powerful Day of Learning
We were honoured to deliver our bespoke Postvention Training session to a fantastic group of people from South Tyneside Council’s Employment and Skills Departments, alongside colleagues from other local organisations. Their openness, compassion, and willingness to engage made the session both meaningful and impactful.
We are especially grateful for the thoughtful reflections shared by attendees, including:
“Having group discussions and having two wonderful, knowledgeable and professional tutors made the whole experience very interesting and helpful about such a moving/stigmatised topic. I've come away with some great tools to use. Thank you both.”
“Personal and genuine delivery where passion for the cause was radiating!”
Feedback like this means so much to us. At Billy’s Lifeline, we never claim to be experts or to hold all the answers. We are people with lived experience who hope to offer understanding, guidance, and support to others who may find themselves facing similar circumstances. Knowing that our training resonates and equips people with practical tools is deeply encouraging.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to Stericycle UK for enabling their employee, Helen, to volunteer her time as part of their Social Value Employee Volunteer Programme. Support like this helps us continue delivering vital work within communities.
Together, we can build safer, more compassionate responses for those affected by suicide.
