Finding Light in a Difficult Season: How Our Groups Marked Christmas Together

For many people, Christmas is a time of warmth and celebration — but for those who are bereaved, it can be one of the hardest points in the year. The empty chair at the table, the traditions that feel different now, and the pressure to be festive can make the season feel overwhelming.

As part of our Christmas activities, members took part in wreath‑making and Christmas decoration crafting, creating beautiful pieces that honoured loved ones who are no longer with us. These sessions offered space to reflect, share memories, and support one another through a season that can feel both tender and heavy.

We’re incredibly grateful to NECA Community Garden, who the opportunity for wreath‑making session. Their kindness helped create a peaceful, welcoming environment where people could express their grief and creativity side by side.

Together, we’ll continue building moments of connection — especially when they’re needed most.
