Say Hello to Our Newest Recruit: Shadow
We’re thrilled to introduce Shadow, our newest — and furriest — member of the team. This incredibly gentle four‑legged friend will be joining us to support members during some of our small group sessions, bringing calm, comfort, and a whole lot of warmth.
It was clear from the moment she arrived at Billy’s Lifeline that she has a natural gift for putting people at ease. Her soft nature and steady presence make her a perfect fit for the supportive spaces we create.
Shadow will be joining our Mam’s Together support group in January, offering her soothing, therapeutic presence to anyone who might benefit from a quiet moment of connection with a friendly companion.
We can’t wait for you to meet her — she’s already stealing hearts.
You can read more about Shadow here.
Our Mam’s Together group is a gentle, understanding space created for anyone who has lost a child to suicide — no matter how long ago their loss occurred. Grief doesn’t follow a timeline, and this group offers a place where people can come together, share, listen, and feel supported by others who truly understand.
The group is open to anyone affected by the loss of their child to suicide. You’re welcome to join us on the last Tuesday of every month at Cookson House, where you’ll find warmth, compassion, and a community that holds space for every story.
Mam’s Together is led by Edna — Billy’s mam — whose strength, kindness, and lived experience help create a safe, comforting environment for everyone who attends.
It’s a place where you don’t have to explain your grief, because everyone there already understands.
