Finding Strength in Community: Billy’s Lifeline Meets Whitley Bay SOBS

Natalie and Helen were welcomed by Gill, Glen and Lauren the group facilitators of the Whitley Bay SOBS (Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide) group. SOBS host UK wide peer-led support sessions on a monthly basis.

We met some truly remarkable people who have faced the unimaginable heartbreak of losing someone they love.

Together, we listened, shared stories, and honoured the beautiful memories of their loved ones. The strength, honesty, and compassion in the room were deeply moving.

We also shared a little about Billy’s Lifeline and the support we offer, and we warmly invited everyone to join our special groups whenever they feel ready.

Grateful for the chance to connect, to listen, and to offer even a small moment of hope. No one should walk this path alone, and nights like this remind us just how powerful community and working collaboratively can be.
