BBC Children in Need 2025 - Helping Us Support Bereaved Young People

Listen to our charity founder Natalie Kirk chat with BBC Radio’s matt Bailey: BBC Children in Need Stories - North East - 'Support for people after they have lost to suicide' - BBC Sounds

Recently, Natalie and our team manager Donna joined BBC Radio Newcastle presenters Anna Foster and Matt Bailey during their Thousand Mile Three‑Legged Challenge for Children in Need. Natalie also spoke with Matt for the BBC Children in Need Stories – North East series, sharing how vital this funding is for families affected by suicide.

Thanks to the generosity of BBC Children in Need supporters, our charity can now provide a dedicated Children and Young Persons Specialist Counsellor right here on our own premises. This specialist role gives children and young people a welcoming, familiar space to talk about their loss and receive expert, trauma‑informed support when they need it most.

Our children and young people are navigating some of the hardest moments of their lives — and we’re deeply grateful to everyone who donates, listens, cheers, and champions our work.
